Greek Tragedy Project
For one month, the Freshman classes all participated in a study and creation of Greek literature. The project began as a research into Ancient Greek history and the Greek Drama, Antigone. After learning extensively about creating a good Greek storyline, groups of four went into the writing and preparing of their tragedy.
After two weeks to write, storyboard, and present half of our tragedy story, the classes voted on their favorites. The top play would be completed, revised, and performed on the day of the "Great Dionysus". Although my play did not make it through the voting stage, our class came together to work on the Three Deadly L's, a drama telling the story of a vicious love triangle.
My job in the play was the lights and sound crew. Although it was a lot of work, I managed to complete the task with my partner. The night of the performance was a disaster, however! The sound equipment had an error and we missed half of our queues. Luckily, the lack of effects did not matter. Our class was able to break a 4 year losing streak and take 11 out of 15 awards!
