"RAISED BY" POEM:I was raised by independency
By custody battles and siphoning electricity Pack up...on to the next neighborhood By ‘you’ll make new friends’ and the grey walls of my principal's office By nocturnal nights with my friend, Rowan My eyes burning, hands covered in habanero chip dust that I joked could be mixed to make rocket fuel so I could leave forever By dreary days of reading whatever I could get ahold of My eyes racing, hands covered in paper cuts as I Turn the pages Always a little too fast I was raised by determination By late work shifts, two meager paychecks Cut ties… it’s time to leave again By ‘sorry I work so much’ and the splinters of my bedroom desk By melodic mornings of new playlists and air guitar My eyes vacant, hands tapping but I stop to skip the song Looking for something I’ve never heard before By ethereal evenings My eyes heavy, hands tucked underneath my pillow as I Listen to cars whisk by All going somewhere I can’t. |

Basquiat Style Portrait
Interpretation:
For this art interpretation, I recreated pablo picasso's "the Old guitarist" in the style of John michel Basquiat.
BASQUIAT BOOK:The following pictures are from my book "Influence to exist", a notebook inspired by john michel basquiat -- famous neo-expressionist artist from the late seventies.
Personal Trademark and logo, BASED ON "SAMO" and basquiat's crown:
